Updates

December 3, 2008 - This semester has gone by so quickly! It's amazing. Well "The Bluffs" is moving full steam ahead -- the cast and crew are all set, the last three episodes are being rewritten by my writers and I and we start principal photography on January 24th! So exciting!!! I also just landed an internship at NBC for an executive in the Diversity Initiative for Writers program. And one more thing -- I'm going to Washington DC for the Presidential Inauguration! I seriously could not be more excited right now. I hope you all are doing well and be sure to check out my latest film, "Two Friends" as well as a promo spot for "The Bluffs" under the film resume section.

September 20, 2008 - Quick update, the ROAR Network picked up my show!!! I'm in official pre-production, doing rewrites of the script, finding crew, casting the roles, establishing budget and what not. I've extremely excited! And the first episode is almost fully shot for the 2nd season of "LMU's Next/Person" and it's shaping up to be AMAZING! This semester is so amazing. I'll keep everyone updated!!

September 13, 2008 - Extremely hectic couple of weeks this has been! Let me try to keep this short though... for my Seminar in TV Programming class, my professor has put me in touch with the Senior Vice President of TNT and TBS for my paper on "The Closer." My Directing class professor has directed several music videos do he's dying to see the music video I shot (which, by the way, I finally finished the first cut of). For my Intermediate Screenwriting class, we're writing a feature length script and I'm so excited!! I'd describe my script as drama/horror with the horror being inspired by "Saw" and the drama being inspired by the dramatic horror film "The Mist." The 2nd season of "LMU's Next Top Ridiculously Good Looking Person" has finished auditions, casting will be taking place tomorrow and Monday with the first episode going into production next weekend. I'll be reprising my role as Cole Scott as well as directing much of the episodes. I will also be pitching an original tv show idea I came up with to the ROAR Network on Tuesday and it's very much like "Gossip Girl" and "The OC" set at LMU. I'm very excited for it!! I'm on track to graduate a semester early AND the next deadline for the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival is fast approaching -- I plan on resubmitting my play for this year's festival. AND I'LL BE TURNING 21 IN A MATTER OF WEEKS!!!! Lots going on and I couldn't be happier! :-D Check back soon for the finished music video!

August 16, 2008 - Exciting news for all of you!! I just filmed my first ever music video three days ago! It's the song I wrote about in my last post and the filming went so smoothly and the footage is AMAZING! I can't wait to start editing it (I'm waiting for my editing partner to get back from visiting her folks in South Africa), but until then check out the song on Brie Berman's official MySpace: www.myspace.com/xbriemusic. Hinge is still moving forward with a September start date. I have to rewrite it as the filming location has changed and therefore the plot needs to be retooled a bit as well. I'll keep everyone posted! And also check out the photos from the music video shoot under the MOVIE STILLS tab up top.

July 15, 2008 - It's been one month since I updated the site and I have some great news! I had to postpone "Hinge" til September which frees me up to direct a music video next month! It's for the up and coming singer Brie Berman. Her new song "Done" is a power pop/r&b song and I've got an amazing shoot planned for the music video!!! Click here to listen to her new song and view her MySpace music profile. I've got an amazing crew assembled for the shoot and I have one more role to cast for the story side of the song. I'll keep you all posted!

June 15, 2008 - Long time since I updated my website, sorry everyone! Well summer's in full swing and I've just returned from an exhausting trip to Boston and I've got several short films some producer friends are looking at to possibly produce. "Hinge," aka "The Waiting Game," is officially going into production in about 1 month's time and I'm so excited about it! We're shooting it in Lake Arrowhead, my cast and crew are all as excited as I am about it which is a blessing. I just wrote another short film I'm trying to get off the ground within the next couple of weeks called "Doll House." Cross your fingers everyone!!! I promise to update again soon!

February 28, 2008 - Here are some photos of the new car (sorry for the poor quality, my digital camera stopped working so I had to snap them with my BlackBerry: Back, Front. Pre-production is still going ahead with "The Waiting Game" but I'm pretty sure the title's going to be changed to "The Game."

February 12, 2008 - Alright, so things are going amazingly well. The TV show premiered on the ROAR Network, and you can watch the episodes here. My new car is arriving in 3 days!! I'll post pictures when I finally get it. But also, I have my first short film for RDL Films lined up which has nothing to do with an assignment for school; it's tentatively called "The Waiting Game" based on my friend's short play (which had to be cut from 40 pages down to a 10-minute short film). It's really exciting and the cast is already set and now we just have to have a table read of it and we're ready to shoot it! Check out the movie stills page to see stills from the first episode of "LMU's Next Top Ridiculously Good Looking Person"! I'll update it every week so the first episode's photos won't be the only ones up there. Til next time though, take care everyone!!

January 30, 2008 - Happy New Year! So, things have been a whirlwind in these last few weeks. Let me start off by saying the premiere of "LMU's Next Ridiculously Good Looking Person" will be premeiring in a few weeks and will also be available online through the ROAR Network's website (www.roarnetwork.com) so check it out! My 10 minute play wasn't selected to be performed this year but I'm currently rewriting it for performace this semester at LMU and I will be re-submitting it to the Kennedy Center's competition this fall. I'm getting involved in a prominent, and brand new, group on the LMU campus and that's taking a lot of time to start putting everything together and getting the name out there but it's been a lot of fun thus far. I've got 2 short films which I've written and I've already got a cast and crew together for them so within the next few months I'm looking to film them and submit them to film festivals. I've also got a few ideas for short films so I have to write them and possibly film them somewhere down the line. On the personal side, I've actually sold my dear old 2004 Rav4 that I kept in MINT condition (seriously, it didn't even look a year old) and I've ordered a brand new Mini Cooper!! It should be arriving in the next couple of weeks so I'm really psyched about that. Things just keep getting better everytime I look! Stay positive, stay strong, stay healthy and just do the damn thing!!! Til next time, bye everyone!

December 11, 2007 - This semester has completely flown by! It's finals week at LMU and I'm trying so hard to study for my Art History final right now but I'm procrastinating, yet again. A month or so ago, I entered a 10-minute play I've been working on into the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and I just found out that out of 121 plays in this region, they selected 6 and I was chosen as one of 2 alternatives should one of the 6 not be able to attend. I'm ecstatic even though I wasn't officially picked! I've updated several sections on the website so I hope you enjoy! I'm off to study for Art History so I'll keep you posted since over Christmas break I'll be working on a TV show I'll be pitching to the ROAR Network (my school's student run television network). Take care everyone!

November 19, 2007 - Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Well things have been very hectic for me... I've been taking so many exams and writing so many papers that I've forgotten to update you guys on my latest film. I changed the title from "To the Edge" to "Cabin 7" cause it gives it a more thriller/horror aspect to it and that's what I'm going for. Because I couldn't find anyone to play the male lead, I decided to play it myself. My co-star, Rachel Mock, was amazingly gorgeous and talented! She was unbelievable in the film and I can't wait to edit the film just to see her performance. We had so much fun (even after my picking everyone up at LMU at 5AM and driving 1 1/2 hours to Lake Arrowhead, filming until 1PM and then driving back to LA) and everyone was great -- thanks to Shawn for being the cinematographer for me and Alexis for letting me use her cabin. Can't wait to upload some stills from the movie and upload the finished film so you can all see it!

October 23, 2007 - Hey guys! What an incredibly eventful couple weeks. I've had mid-terms on top of filming my second (and may I say HILARIOUS) second film for my Production class. I uploaded a rough edit onto YouTube but I'm taking it down and uploading my final cut. On a more personal note, my thoughts and prayers go out to all the people affected by the California wildfires. A couple of my friends at LMU who live in San Diego have had to evacuate and I even have another friend whose family has a mountain house in Lake Arrowhead and they have no idea if it's still standing... Again, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Once I upload my final cut of this second film, which is called "The Interview" by the way, I'll upload it to YouTube and post a link on here for you all to see. Until next time, take care all!

September 10, 2007 - I worked full time over the summer, that's why I haven't written in a while. Exciting news to share with you all; I've been cast in a new TV show! Okay, so it's only a TV show on the LMU campus but it's going to be broadcast over the internet as well. My role is Cole Scott, a high powered fashion magazine editor who's supposed to look and act like Nigel Barker from "America's Next Top Model" cause the show is a spoof of that, called "LMU's Next Top Ridiculously Good Looking Person." It starts filming this Friday and will film through til the end of the semester and then air next semester on the ROAR Network. I'm also starting to film my own projects for Production class. This first project is called "Broken Hearts." I'm in the process of gaining the filming permits for it to film next Sunday morning on Venice Beach in Marina del Rey. I'm very excited about it and I'll take photos and post them on here. Til next time everyone, take care and God Bless!

April 1, 2007 - I have officially founded my own production company, RDL Films.  I also made a really tough decision and quit my job at Hollywood Video.  I also decided that instead of going to stay with some friends in Munich and Stockholm for a few weeks that I would take History and Art History at Santa Monica College this summer so that in the fall I can take just three courses: Playwriting, Production (where we make a new short movie every month) and French 102.  I'm psyched about my fall schedule (even though it's sort of all over the place), the classes are exactly what I want to take.  I'm currently in the running for the lead in my friend's new movie at LMU so cross your fingers -- it's a horror film and I've been dying, no pun intended, to be in one for a LONG time!!!  :-D

February 28, 2007 - So, a lot has happened in the last couple months.  I began having some doubts over whether or not I was in the right major.  I began heavily doubting my work and I'm happy to say it was all for nothing.  In my screenwriting class, there are 13 of us and we each had to get up in front of the class and pitch an idea as if we were real screenwriters pitching to producers.  My professor liked my idea, wasn't overly enthused, and when it came time to write up a page synopsis of my short film idea I was very nervous.  He took everyone's home over the weekend and read them and then came back that Monday and proceeded to tell the class that we needed some work on our synopses.  He then called me out, right out of the gate, proceeding to read my synopsis aloud!  I was so nervous and petrified.  Afterwards, he told everyone that it was the best synopsis he had read out of any student he'd ever taught so far.  I was so honored!!  It's just reassured me that I'm in the right industry and that I never should have doubted myself.  I'm psyched!  All semester long I get to engross myself in this script and hopefully film it next year.  I've also started a part-time job at Hollywood Video; at least I get free rentals now!  That saves a hundred bucks a year in rentals, ha ha!  Take care everyone!

October 16, 2006 - WOW!  All I have to say is that.  LMU is awesome.  I'm so thrilled to be apart of such a great school.  Most film schools like USC and UCLA start training you in your junior year; I'm only a freshman and next semester I'm already taking my first screenwriting course!  I'm ecstatic!!!  I've been writing for the fun of it too even though my school work's keeping me pretty busy.  Anyhow, I should get back to my philosophy homework.  Take care guys!

July 7, 2006 - I hope everyone had a great 4th!  Well last month was wicked busy for me; I had my orientation at LMU, went to Vegas for a couple days on a business trip, had graduation & prom, then went back to Boston for a couple weeks to visit friends and family.  Now, I'm settling in to my new apartment.  I love it here.  I used to live in the San Fernando Valley and now I live in the marina and the temperature is constantly in the 70s here.  I don't know how anyone could live anywhere else.  I also had to get a new computer because my old one crashed, and I got a new cell phone after my old one finally quit on me(I dropped it one too many times...).  So this has been crazy.  The rest of my summer is hopefully just relaxing, but my best friend and I are planning a last minute trip to Europe so hopefully I finally get to go(since I've never been.)  But for now, have a fun and safe summer everyone!

May 2, 2006 - Well it's official, I'm going to be attending Loyola Marymount University this fall to study screenwriting.  I'm definitely continuing on with my acting because it's what's gotten me to where I am now and it's what makes me so happy to wake up in the morning.

March 14, 2006 - Commercial Audition: US Cellular

February 20, 2006 - A director/writer/actor friend of mine, Jeffery Houston, and I had a meeting yesterday about "Blind Date" and by the end of it we had 3 short films in the works that he's ready to tackle head-on!  I'm excited cause he wants me to be in all of them; they others are called "Solitude" and "Phobia."  He wrote the first, and I wrote the second one.  So check back for updates!  He's really fast-tracking "Blind Date" to hopefully shoot next weekend, so if we do shoot, you'll all be the first to know!
